To Be Seven Is Heaven

Gavin had his seventh birthday and what a great party. He might not think it's heaven but my way of thinking what else could it be, someone to make your meal, provide you with birthday cake and ice cream, and presents galore! We went to Mark and Rikki's and had a Mexican Fiesta--Tacos, nachos, and mac and cheese. I understand that was Gavin's meal choice. What a good job Gavin. Everything was delicious! My only complaint was I wasn't fast enough to get Gavin blowing out his candles but I still caught a lot of action with some of my photos. For some reason tho Raylee and Shelby seem to be camera shy!

Gavin and Mom--he can't help doing those
bunny ears.

Alaina and Grandma Carol

Three big, bad boys!!!!

Let the fiesta begin!

Alaina: Whose eating my mac and
cheese? It's mine!

How ironic, Harrison with gun in
hand on a pink, girlie scooter!

Say Cheese!

Missed the candles but here's the
aftermath:

It's hard work opening all these gifts!

Yea, Iron Man pajamas!

And an empty box from Reg........

Janet and the littlest one, Connor

Logan:Don't leave me out!

Dana and Logan, looking mighty fine.

Carol and Connor, just can't take
any more fun!

Rich, and Cooper. Won't be too long
before Rich will be holding his own
grandbaby but Cooper kind of
likes it up here with Uncle Rich.

Barb and soon to be mom, Megan

Last but not least, Jenny and Coop!

Sharing

Well, it's beginning. That age old sibling rivalry might already be starting but it always works out in the end. Just had to share these funny photos with you.

Alyssa and Olivia's Favorite Toys
I think it started out with them accidentally
rolling into each other.
Olivia realizes Alyssa has her favorite Toucan

All right, since I can't grab it from you I'll just
share it with you!

Sharing, How Sweet!

Peace at last. They each have their own toy!

Halloween Weekend

Mike and I visited Doug and Julia this weekend and had lots of fun with the girls. We had a couple of days of vacation so took Thursday and Friday off. Julia let us watch the girls on Friday and then while Mike and I gave out treats on Halloween night, Doug and Julia took the girls trick or treating in the neighborhood and then over to Granny Martha's. Of course I realize I'm prejudiced but I've never seen any cuter little trick or treaters!

All right, what's next?

After the look Olivia gave us, it must be
time to trick and treat!

Phenomenal!

Now you might think as a grandma those are my words but they're not. They're the doctor's words about the change in Alyssa's head. I went with Julia to both the technician (who makes adjustment to the helmet) and the specialist. They said they don't see it often but the shape of Alyssa's head is almost normal after only a month. The change is significant and the technician measured her head 4 times to make sure he wasn't measuring wrong. We knew something was up when he said, "holy crap", and we knew it wasn't something bad. The specialist was a little more discreet and didn't use those words but said that she was amazed at the change. They are saying one more month with the helmet and Alyssa should be through with it. I've included not only the latest photos with her helmet but also the procedure a month ago in the doctor's office to make the helmet. As bad as it looks Julia said she was smiling and laughing through most of it until the end.

Getting started
Putting the gauze on
Next Step
And the next....
Still doing fine
The last step and Alyssa has had it!
Everything has been removed and the cast
for the helmet is formed
Ahhh, a happy baby, in Granny Martha's lap!
